I would like to know if there is a law concern withholding a paycheck from an employee who has quit .?

This employer messed up my direct deposit , went into wrong account , bank kicked it back to them . Employer told me would write hard check for me , would call when it was signed , they have never called it's been over 24 hours now ? HELP
